E-books, audio books and audio poems

I am sure some of you are getting to the stage where your child has read their school books several times and you are after some alternative books for them to read so here are some online resources for you to take advantage of!

Don't forget about the school's subscription to oxford owl! There are hundreds of books on this site and many are appropriate for your child's reading level. To access the books just use the school's username and password below.

Audible are offering free audiobooks for young listeners during this time. There are some fantastic options such as The Tales of Peter Rabbit, Winnie the Pooh stories and classic nursery rhymes.

The children's poetry archive have poems for all ages which is absolutely brilliant. They are often read by the poets and range from about 30 seconds long to 3 minutes. They are great for helping children notice the rhythm of words and are lovely discussion points to help children with their communication and language.

Twinkl have their own e-books which span a large range of topics. They are educational and come with accompanying resources but they are also just really lovely stories! Some even have bar codes in which make pictures come to life and move if you download the twinkl AR app.
