During year one, the children have been learning the rest of their phonics sounds and how to apply these sounds within different words.
As you already know, there is usually a phonics screening test at the end of year one which didn't take place this year. We are still unsure about whether the government will want your child to carry out this test in year two.
For this week's tasks, we would like you to work through two of these tests with your child to keep them familiar with the format and to give you an idea of how they are doing. To give you an idea of the expectations, the previous pass mark has been 32/40.
