Phonics
Morning all,
Today we are going to recap the 'or' digraph. Use the powerpoint below to count the phonemes (sounds) in each word and then have a go at sounding out each word.
Once you have completed the powerpoint, have a go at building some of the words just like we did last week either with blocks, magnetic letters or cut up paper. Here are some words to try:
b-or-n
c-or-n
sh-or-t
h-or-n
s-t-or-m
t-or-ch
n-or-th
s-p-or-t
It may be a good idea to discuss the meaning of some of these words with your child, for example "north" and "horn" and "born".
Have a good day,
Miss Heafford
