Thursday
Good morning year 2!
What a scorching day it was yesterday I hope you managed to enjoy some sunshine and maybe get the paddling pools out!
It has been nice again to receive some work you have been getting on with busily and see a lot more of you accessing the sumdog website.
Today in maths you are looking at number bonds to 100 and in English you are writing warning signs for animals you may find in the desert.
Don't forget there is lots of resources out there if you want to access more; BBC bitesize has some great stuff, particularly for afternoons remember to search KS1 and then year 2. Today they have a lesson on "computing" and how games work; This would be great for any of you interested in gaming. Also, yesterday they had a good science lesson on forces - I would like to know what you could find out about different types of force.
I also realised that this week I forgot to add the quote of the week so here it is; "Going far beyond that call of duty, doing more than others expect, this is what excellence is all about! And it comes from striving, maintaining the highest standards, looking after the smallest detail, and going the extra mile. Excellence means doing your very best. In everything! In every way."
Have a good Thursday everyone,
Mr Smith
