Morning class 2,
Well what can I say? But thank you all so much for the amazing picture you put together to commemorate the end of year 2! What an absolutely brilliant idea and it really made me smile yesterday. Also, thank you for the incredible generosity you and your parents have shown in giving me such a great gift. I will be able to get something great for my new house!
Good luck with today's learning you have all been excellent during this very difficult time and you all deserve a pat on the back! On the topic of rewards there are a couple of ways we can be rewarded. Sometimes, if we are very lucky we may get something, like a gift or a card. On other occasions we will be told "well done" or "good effort" and sometimes we won't receive anything or be told anything but we will know inside that we have done something good. The important thing is that you do the right thing whenever you can and the reason you do that thing is because it is RIGHT not because you will be rewarded for it. There is a good quote from the world of sport that I really like and links quite well here and that is; "Champions are made when no one is watching".
What does this quote mean? What do you think?
To me it means even when you are on your own and no one is around you still need to work just as hard and then you'll achieve your goals. If you work hard at all times the "reward" what ever that may be will come because you have put all your efforts and energies into achieving it! That feeling of personal achievement is a truly great one!
THANKS AGAIN YEAR 2 I REALLY APPRECIATE THE PICTURE AND GIFT CARD.
