Good morning Year 2!! It was great to receive some feedback yesterday regarding the podcast. I will email out a plan tonight and we will record the podcast on Friday. I will then look at different ways in which we can upload it and share it on the class page.

I hope yesterday went OK and you were able to enjoy some of the sunshine in the garden. Today's work can be spread out and if it is too much then perhaps leave some until tomorrow.

Have a great day and remember any questions please email: jsmith@richardhill.leics.sch.uk.

Stay safe,

Mr Smith.

English:

L.O: I can write a setting description.

Think of a place you’ve been. A film you have watched. A book you have read. Where is it set? What is the place like? Can you describe it?

Is it a scary, exciting, happy or enchanted place?

Write a setting description describing exactly what it’s like. Try and engage all your senses. What can you see? Hear? Feel? Smell?

Here is an example:

“The overwhelming smell of cooking onions filled my nostrils. There was a brilliant buzz around the place. So many people my head felt like a washing machine full of clothes. Then I saw it. The gigantic brick structure towering above the houses. All around me people moved quickly rushing to collect their tickets. Across the road a loud group of people singing at the top of their voices their scarves raised above their heads”.

What do you think my setting is?

1-3pm - Creative afternoons:

Put together a gymnastics sequence. Try to include a jump, balance and a roll.

The theme is waking up in the morning.

What is your routine?

  • Wake up
  • Get dressed
  • Brush teeth etc.

Write down your sequence in you book and then perform it.

Don’t worry about an L.O just write P.E at the top of the page.
