Reading comprehensions
Note on reading comprehensions;
For some of these adult support is definitely needed but try and allow your child to read the text independently. It could be a good idea to underline any words they struggled with and practice these as spellings. If they struggle with it all it is fine to read it to them or read a section each. As always with things like this allow time and patience - it could be a good idea to break it down into chunks and do small parts of one comprehension. Recording the answers on paper is a useful task but equally as useful is your child telling you the answers verbally - BOTH WOULD BE GREAT!
