Weds 1st April
It's April fools day! Where did April fools day originate from?
I hope you managed to do some fractions work yesterday in maths today is unit fractions https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/ (lesson 3). In English you should've written some sentences for your non-chronological report. It might be a good idea to look at some examples of non-chronological reports today using the internet.
I saw this great idea from one of my friends to use old plastic milk bottles to make elephants so you could give it a go. You may have to be creative with how you stick on the paper if you do not have glue. Follow the link to watch how they are made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eub7Pe6DZIc
I also discovered yesterday that Edinburgh zoo have live webcams of some of their enclosures I was watching the penguins and pandas yesterday. I think the cameras start at 11am so why not tune in https://www.edinburghzoo.org.uk/
I was at school yesterday and Friday and thought it would be a good idea to keep our bird list going you could do it from your garden. We had 2 Red Kite's, a little egret and a Heron fly over on Friday. How many birds can you spot in a 30 minute period? If you're not sure what species they are try and get a picture or send me a picture and I will identify them for you. Also there may be a few butterflies around I found some caterpillars in the garden at the weekend. Keep your eyes peeled! There are some good resources and ideas on https://www.rspb.org.uk/ the breakfast bird watch is my favourite.
Have a great day and stay safe,
Mr Smith
